This four week class provides an introduction to the fundamentals of painting. Studnets will study perspective, form, value, colour, and composition using a variety of techniques and acrylic based paints. Students will begin with overviews of drawing and move into painting using still lifes, reference materials, and possible live models.

POP ART
Learn the techniques of creating pop art. Using acrylic paint, create a one of a kind piece featuring one of your favorite stars, friends, or family using bold colors and unique techniques. Overview of the history of pop art included.

Plein Air Painting
Enjoy the Lower Mainland's beautiful landmarks by capturing them on your canvas! Study both man made and natural landscapes in this six week plein air painting group sure to inspire your creativity and imagination.

Learn the fundamentals of life drawing with certified instructors. Examine still life objects and live models while practicing the essence of seeing beyond the obvious. Techniques include shading, perspective, blending, and use of pencil, charcoal, and chalk.

West Point Grey Community Centre - Adults Art Lessons
Students who have little or no experience in painting will be guided through a still life painting experience allowing them to explore techniques and skills in drawing and painting. A perfect way to ease into your creative genius! All supplies included.

French & English Language Lessons
Certified Instructors available to teach one on one students or small groups both beginner, intermediate and advanced options available. Students will learn a variety of listening, reading, writing, and speaking exercises including writing composition, grammar overview, sentence structure, essay composition, conversation skills. Students are able to work within a small group setting or on an individual basis with a professional, certified teacher.
West Point Grey Community Centre - Adults French Lessons
Learn to speak French in a relaxed atmosphere. This beginners' course will teach you simple everyday language while focusing on proper pronunciation and grammar. The class will be both fun and useful!
Join Monika on Tuesday evenings to converse and practice French with others in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. The emphasis of this class will be on conversation and speaking the language correctly.
